WINTERIZATION AND DE-WINTERIZATION OF TRAILERS AND MOTORHOMES | ROULOTTES RÉMILLARD
No matter the time of year, your recreational vehicle deserves professional care. In the spring, we get it back on the road for the season. In the fall, we prepare it to get through the winter without damage. At Roulottes Rémillard, a member of Groupe Nõmad, our certified technicians take care of everything — quickly, thoroughly, and at a fair price.
🌿 De-Winterization — Spring Recommissioning
Why have your RV de-winterized by a professional? After several months in storage, your trailer or motorhome needs a complete inspection before hitting the road. The cold can cause micro-cracks in pipes, drain the battery, weaken seals, or affect propane appliances. These issues are invisible to the untrained eye — but they often reveal themselves at the worst possible moment, at the campsite. Trusting our technicians with your de-winterization means ensuring that every system is checked, tested, and properly recommissioned before your first departure of the season.
What we do during de-winterization:
Plumbing system: Complete flush of the lines to remove antifreeze, inspection of fittings and pipes, re-pressurization of the system, inspection of the water heater and valves.
Battery and electrical: Reconnection and battery test, inspection of all lights and outlets, test of the water pump and converter.
Safety: Testing of carbon monoxide, smoke, and propane detectors. Battery replacement if necessary.
Propane and gas appliances: Inspection of fittings and leak tightness, testing of the refrigerator, stove, water heater, and furnace.
Tires and chassis: Tire pressure check, visual inspection of the chassis and structural components.
De-Winterization Rates — 2026 Season*
De-winterization of a trailer: $102.44*
De-winterization of a motorhome: $196.90*
❄️ Winterization — Complete Winter Protection
Why properly winterize your RV? A poorly winterized RV means burst pipes, a damaged water heater, and costly repairs in the spring. Professional winterization is the best protection you can give your investment before the deep freeze sets in. Our technicians know every system in your vehicle and make sure no detail is overlooked.
What we do during winterization:
Plumbing system: Complete draining of the water heater and lines, injection of non-toxic antifreeze throughout the system, closing of valves and faucets.
Battery and electrical: Disconnection or maintenance mode activation of the battery, general inspection of electrical systems before storage.
Propane: Shutoff of tanks, inspection of fittings, securing of gas appliances.
